- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for topping)
- 1 tbsp mustard (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until fully combined but do not overmix.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
- Spread the ketchup mixture evenly on top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Letting the meatloaf rest ensures juicy slices. Pair it with mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.
