Description

A quick and flavorful miso glazed salmon, perfectly caramelized and ready in just 5 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, honey, and grated ginger in a small bowl.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry and brush generously with the miso glaze.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
  4. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Flip carefully and cook for another 2 minutes until caramelized and cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For best results, don’t overcook the salmon. Serve with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables for a quick meal.
