Description
A hearty and comforting one-pot pasta dish made with ground beef, tomatoes, and elbow macaroni, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
- Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in elbow macaroni. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Remove bay leaf. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese before serving, if desired.
Notes
American Goulash tastes even better the next day as leftovers. Great for meal prep.
