Description
A moist and fragrant apple almond cake with a soft crumb, perfect for teatime or dessert.
Ingredients

- 2 apples, peeled and sliced
- 150g almond flour
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 150g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100ml vegetable oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a cake pan.
- In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add oil and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Gently fold in the sliced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
Best served slightly warm. You can also add slivered almonds on top before baking for added crunch.
