- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles or ramen noodles
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in garlic and ginger; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
- Pour sauce into the skillet with the beef; stir to coat evenly.
- If desired, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet; toss everything together to combine well.
- Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For extra veggies, stir-fry bell peppers, shredded carrots, or snap peas with the beef. Adjust soy sauce or sugar to taste.
