- 2 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional: Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme)
- Optional: Lemon zest and rosemary
- Optional: Chili powder and cumin for spice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness if needed.
- Rub chicken with olive oil or melted butter.
- Season both sides with salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Add any optional seasonings for extra flavor.
- Place chicken breasts in a baking dish or on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Resting the chicken after baking helps retain juices. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
