Description

A hearty and comforting baked pasta dish layered with ziti, savory ground beef, marinara sauce, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta until al dente and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
  6. In a baking dish, layer pasta, beef sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  7. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
  8. Bake 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper to the beef sauce.
