Description

A hearty and flavorful twist on classic baked beans, packed with smoky BBQ flavor and savory ground beef — perfect for cookouts or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 (16 oz) cans baked beans
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine baked beans, BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and the cooked beef mixture. Stir well to combine.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until bubbling and slightly caramelized on top.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Add chopped cooked bacon or a dash of hot sauce for an extra flavor boost.
