Tender, juicy chicken thighs baked in the oven and coated with a rich, smoky BBQ sauce for an easy and satisfying dinner.

- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking dish or sheet pan with foil.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Brush olive oil over the chicken thighs.
- Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up in the baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 20–25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and caramelized.
- Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra char.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Use your favorite BBQ sauce, sweet or smoky. For extra flavor, baste the chicken once or twice during baking.
