Description
This crock pot beef brisket is tender, juicy, and full of bold flavor. Perfectly slow-cooked with a savory rub and rich barbecue sauce—ideal for sandwiches, tacos, or a hearty main dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 lb beef brisket
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Sliced onions (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on both sides until browned (about 3–4 minutes per side).
- Place sliced onions (if using) in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Transfer brisket to the slow cooker, fat side up.
- Pour beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup of barbecue sauce over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or on high for 5–6 hours, until the brisket is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove brisket from the slow cooker and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Brush with remaining barbecue sauce and garnish with parsley if desired.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or in sandwiches.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the brisket in the spice rub overnight. Leftovers make amazing brisket sandwiches or tacos!
