Instructions
- Add sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice to a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Simmer for 5–8 minutes until strawberries soften and release juices.
- If using cornstarch, mix it with water, then stir into the sauce.
- Cook 1–2 additional minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
Notes
