- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Pink and red sprinkles
- Royal icing or melted white chocolate for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Gently flatten each ball and add sprinkles on top.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool completely.
- Decorate with royal icing or melted white chocolate.
Notes
Do not overbake to keep the cookies soft. Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
