- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients on package)
- 1 cup raspberry jam
- 2 cups buttercream frosting
- Red food gel
- Halloween sprinkles or candy knives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Divide batter into liners and bake 18-20 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Using a knife or cupcake corer, cut a small hole in the center of each cupcake.
- Fill holes with raspberry jam for a bloody effect.
- Frost cupcakes with buttercream, covering the jam filling.
- Drizzle red food gel over frosting to resemble blood.
- Decorate with Halloween sprinkles or candy knives if desired.
Notes
For a gory twist, use strawberry puree instead of jam for a thicker bleeding effect.
