Description

A flavorful and spicy Cajun-style salmon, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a protein-packed meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until crispy.
  6. Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the spice level. Best served immediately for optimal crispiness.
