Ingredients
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 cups whole almonds
- 2 cups whole cashews
- 2 cups lightly salted peanuts
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1–2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper *Or up to ½ or 1 teaspoon for spicier nuts.
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
- 1–2 tablespoons water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the pecans, almonds, cashews, and peanuts.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, seasoned salt, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Pour the butter mixture over the nuts and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the nuts are toasted and fragrant. Stir halfway through.
- While the nuts are baking, prepare the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the butter, orange liqueur, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the brown sugar is dissolved.
- Once the nuts are out of the oven, pour the glaze over them and toss to coat.
- Spread the glazed nuts on a piece of parchment paper to cool completely.
Notes
For extra crunch, toast the nuts in a dry skillet before adding the butter mixture. Feel free to substitute walnuts or macadamia nuts for other nuts. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. These are fantastic sprinkled on ice cream or yogurt!
