Description

Juicy turkey meatloaf packed with herbs and spices, stuffed with gooey melted cheese for a comforting twist on a classic dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. On a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap, flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the center, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Carefully roll the meat into a loaf, sealing the edges to enclose the cheese.
  6. Transfer to a greased loaf pan or baking dish.
  7. Spread ketchup over the top.
  8. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

You can use any melty cheese of your choice. For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture.
