- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- On a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap, flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the center, leaving a border around the edges.
- Carefully roll the meat into a loaf, sealing the edges to enclose the cheese.
- Transfer to a greased loaf pan or baking dish.
- Spread ketchup over the top.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
You can use any melty cheese of your choice. For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture.
