Description

A creamy, cheesy, and comforting pasta dish made with ground beef, macaroni, and a rich cheese sauce—just like homemade Hamburger Helper!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in beef broth, tomato sauce, paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add uncooked macaroni, stir well, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in milk and shredded cheddar cheese until creamy.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, top with pickles, ketchup, or mustard for a true cheeseburger experience.
