Description
A comforting and satisfying casserole made with seasoned ground beef, tender rice, and plenty of melty cheese—perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients

- 500g ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (300ml) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté onion until translucent.
- Add garlic and ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth. Mix well.
- Add uncooked rice and stir to combine.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese evenly on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can use brown rice—just increase the baking time and liquid slightly. Add peas or bell peppers for extra veggies.
