- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely diced

- 1/2 teaspoon paprika

- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 6 regular sandwich buns or 12 slider buns
- 6 slices pepper jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, green onions, and diced green pepper. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and minced garlic.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 12 small patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add melted butter. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned.
- Place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and let it melt.
- Mix shredded Colby Jack cheese with sesame seeds; sprinkle over the melted cheese.
- Toast the buns lightly in the skillet, then assemble each slider with a patty, a sprinkle of Colby Jack cheese, and the top bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for the beef. These sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving.
