Description
A family-friendly casserole layered with pasta, seasoned ground beef, tomato sauce, and plenty of melted cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (24 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 12 oz pasta (penne or elbow)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked pasta with meat sauce. Pour mixture into baking dish.
- Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can add bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
