Description
This Chilli Vinegar Salmon is bold, zesty, and packed with flavor. A quick marinade of chili, garlic, and vinegar gives the salmon a spicy tang, then it’s roasted to tender perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Fresh chopped cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, honey, chili flakes, black pepper, and salt.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour marinade over them. Let marinate in the fridge for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place marinated salmon on a lined baking sheet, skin-side down. Spoon extra marinade over the top.
- Roast for 12–15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Optional: broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for a caramelized top.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro or green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust chili flakes to your heat preference. This pairs well with steamed rice or roasted vegetables.
