- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, plus 1 tsp of adobo sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 3 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 10 leaves cilantro
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine mayonnaise, yellow mustard, chipotle pepper, adobo sauce, lime juice, onion powder, sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Transfer sauce to a serving bowl or airtight container.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a milder sauce, use only half of the chipotle pepper or omit the seeds and membranes. To make ahead, store sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
