Description

These Christmas Crack Cookies are the ultimate holiday treat – salty, sweet, crunchy, and irresistibly addictive!


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve of saltine crackers (about 40)
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let bubble for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the hot mixture evenly over the crackers and spread with a spatula.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, until bubbling.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit 2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
  7. Top with holiday sprinkles while chocolate is still warm.
  8. Cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set.
  9. Break into pieces and serve.
