Description

These Christmas Cream Cheese Mints are rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet with a melt-in-your-mouth texture — ideal for gifting, parties, or snacking straight from the fridge.


Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • Red and green food coloring (optional)
  • Granulated sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add peppermint extract and gradually beat in powdered sugar until a stiff dough forms.
  3. Divide dough if using multiple colors and tint each portion with a few drops of food coloring.
  4. Roll dough into small balls (about 1 tsp each) and flatten gently with a fork or your thumb.
  5. Roll in granulated sugar and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  7. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

You can use silicone molds or press patterns into the tops for festive shapes. These freeze well, too!
