Description

This Christmas Jam Recipe is sweet, spiced, and bursting with holiday flavor—perfect for gifting or spreading on your morning toast all season long!


Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) bag fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 (1.75 oz) package fruit pectin
  • 4 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine cranberries, strawberries, orange juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves.
  2. Bring mixture to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries pop and soften.
  3. Use an immersion blender or potato masher to break down the mixture to your desired consistency.
  4. Stir in fruit pectin and return to a boil.
  5. Add sugar all at once and stir constantly.
  6. Bring back to a rolling boil and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  8. Carefully ladle jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
  9. Wipe rims clean, seal with lids, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes if canning.
  10. Let cool completely. Store sealed jars in a cool dark place, or refrigerate unprocessed jars.

Notes

Makes wonderful edible gifts during the holidays. Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks or process jars to keep for up to a year.
