These Christmas Ooey Gooey Butter Cookies are soft, chewy, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious — with festive sprinkles to bring holiday cheer to every bite!

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
- 1/4 cup red and green sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
- Mix in the cake mix until a thick dough forms.
- Fold in red and green sprinkles.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Scoop out tablespoon-sized amounts of dough, roll into balls, then roll in powdered sugar.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
