- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup candied cherries, halved
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until combined.
- Fold in walnuts, raisins, dates, and candied cherries.
- Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
