These Christmas Shortbread Cookies are buttery, crisp, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Decorated with festive sprinkles, they’re the perfect holiday treat!
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Red and green sprinkles (for decorating)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls or flatten and cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet and decorate with red and green sprinkles.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are just beginning to turn golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also dip in chocolate or drizzle with icing for extra flair!
