Description

These classic ground beef tacos are a quick and delicious weeknight dinner, packed with flavor and customizable with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 taco shells
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Sliced jalapeƱos (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sautƩ until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Drain excess fat if needed.
  6. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  7. Add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
  9. Spoon beef mixture into taco shells and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeƱos.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture. You can also substitute with ground turkey for a leaner version.
