These classic ground beef tacos are a quick and delicious weeknight dinner, packed with flavor and customizable with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 8 taco shells
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Sliced jalapeƱos (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sautƩ until soft.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
- Spoon beef mixture into taco shells and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeƱos.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture. You can also substitute with ground turkey for a leaner version.
