Description

A moist and flavorful traditional meatloaf topped with a tangy ketchup glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
  4. Spread remaining ketchup on top.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, use a mix of ground beef and ground pork. Leftovers make excellent sandwiches.
