Description

A traditional Italian spaghetti Bolognese with rich, meaty sauce and tender pasta.


Ingredients

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 200ml beef stock
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan. Sauté onion, garlic, carrot, and celery until softened.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, canned tomatoes, beef stock, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Notes

For deeper flavor, simmer the sauce longer and use a mix of pork and beef.
