Description

A simple and delicious homemade condensed milk recipe that’s perfect for desserts, coffee, and more.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the whole milk and sugar.
  2. Stir constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 35-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the milk has thickened and reduced by half, remove from heat.
  5. Add the butter and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
  6. Let the condensed milk cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, you can use coconut milk instead of whole milk.
