Description

This Copycat Cracker Barrel Meatloaf is tender, flavorful, and topped with a sweet tomato glaze—just like the restaurant favorite. A classic comfort food perfect for any night of the week.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 3/4 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, crushed Ritz crackers, onion, bell pepper, eggs, milk, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Mix gently until all ingredients are just combined—do not overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place into a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard to make the glaze.
  6. Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven, spread remaining glaze on top, and return to oven for another 15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Crushed Ritz crackers give this meatloaf its signature Cracker Barrel texture and flavor. Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for the full experience.
