Description
These Crispy Salmon Tacos are bursting with flavor and texture—featuring golden seared salmon chunks, zesty slaw, and a creamy chipotle-lime sauce, all wrapped in a warm tortilla.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound skinless salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or slaw mix
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 6 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chipotle in adobo sauce (minced)
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss salmon cubes with olive oil and seasoning mix until coated.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy and cooked through. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine slaw mix, cilantro, and lime juice. Toss to coat and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, chipotle in adobo, and lime zest to make the sauce.
- Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble tacos by layering slaw, crispy salmon, and a drizzle of chipotle-lime sauce in each tortilla.
- Serve immediately with extra lime wedges if desired.
Notes
For extra crunch, you can coat the salmon in panko before frying. This also works great with leftover salmon or canned salmon in a pinch.
