Description

Tender, flavorful crockpot chicken legs paired with creamy mashed potatoes – an easy and comforting meal made with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rub chicken legs with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken legs in the crockpot in a single layer.
  3. Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until fully cooked and tender.
  4. Meanwhile, boil potatoes in salted water until fork tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Drain potatoes and mash with butter, milk, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  6. Serve crockpot chicken legs hot with a generous serving of mashed potatoes.

Notes

For crispier chicken skin, broil the legs in the oven for a few minutes after slow cooking.
