Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 packet dry French onion soup mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and parsley.
  2. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the center of your crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
  5. Optional: About 15 minutes before serving, top with shredded cheese and cover to melt.
  6. Carefully remove the meatloaf and let it rest 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted veggies. Leftovers make great sandwiches!
