Description

This Crockpot Sausage and Peppers is an easy, flavorful slow-cooker meal made with tender sausages, sweet bell peppers, and a rich tomato sauce that’s perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Italian sausage links
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Place sausage links in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add sliced bell peppers and onion on top.
  3. Sprinkle garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning over the vegetables.
  4. Pour crushed tomatoes evenly over everything.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
  6. Serve hot on hoagie rolls or over pasta if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, brown the sausages before adding them to the crockpot, but this step is optional.
