Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340g) fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) water
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and discard any soft or damaged ones.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine water and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add cranberries and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most cranberries have burst.
