Description

These Easy Ham and Swiss Sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleasing sandwich! Made with soft Hawaiian sweet rolls, layers of savory Black Forest ham, melty baby Swiss cheese, and topped with a buttery Dijon poppy seed glaze, they bake up golden, warm, and irresistible. Perfect for parties, game day, holidays, or an easy weeknight dinner, these sliders are simple to prepare and guaranteed to disappear fast!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (kept connected)
  • 3/4 pound thin-sliced Black Forest ham
  • 3/4 pound baby Swiss cheese slices
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally using a serrated knife.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the ham evenly over the rolls, then top with an even layer of Swiss cheese slices.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls back on top.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds.
  7. Pour the buttery mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls, spreading gently to cover all surfaces.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Let cool slightly, then slice along the roll lines and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a thin layer of honey mustard or mayonnaise inside the rolls before layering the ham and cheese. You can substitute turkey for ham or use provolone instead of Swiss. These sliders can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
