Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
  4. Stir in cornstarch slurry. Bring to simmer, whisking constantly until thickened (2-3 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat. Sauce will continue thickening as it cools.

Notes

Tips: For gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce. Storage: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Uses: Excellent with chicken wings, stir-fried vegetables, or as a meatball glaze.
