- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- In small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water until smooth. Set aside.
- Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry. Bring to simmer, whisking constantly until thickened (2-3 minutes).
- Remove from heat. Sauce will continue thickening as it cools.
Notes
Tips: For gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce. Storage: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Uses: Excellent with chicken wings, stir-fried vegetables, or as a meatball glaze.
