Description

A spooky yet delicious Halloween appetizer – creamy brie wrapped in puff pastry strips to look like a mummy.


Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 candy eyes (or black olives)
  • Crackers or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. Cut puff pastry into thin strips.
  3. Wrap the strips around the brie wheel to resemble mummy bandages, leaving small gaps for the eyes.
  4. Brush the wrapped brie with beaten egg.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and gently place candy eyes (or olive slices) in the exposed space.
  7. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

You can add a layer of jam (like raspberry or fig) under the puff pastry for extra flavor.
