Description

A super simple, buttery-sweet Thanksgiving carrot side dish that’s both festive and family-approved.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil.
  2. Add the carrots and cook for 8–10 minutes until just tender, then drain.
  3. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Return the carrots to the pot and toss to coat in the glaze.
  6. Cook for 2–3 more minutes, stirring often, until glossy and caramelized.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

You can prep the carrots in advance and reheat with the glaze just before serving.
