This Easy Thanksgiving Pumpkin Trifle is a festive and delicious layered dessert with pumpkin, whipped cream, and spiced flavors, perfect for holiday gatherings.

- 1 box spice cake mix (baked and cooled)
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (thawed)
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional for drizzling)
Instructions
- Prepare the spice cake mix according to package instructions and let it cool completely. Cut into cubes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth and thickened.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes at the bottom.
- Spread half of the pumpkin pudding mixture over the cake layer.
- Top with a layer of whipped topping.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pumpkin mixture, and whipped topping.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
You can prepare this dessert a day in advance. For extra crunch, add crushed gingersnap cookies or pecans between the layers.
