Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Add milk and heavy cream, whisking until smooth.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving or use warm.

Notes

Adjust thickness by adding more milk for a thinner consistency or more cornstarch for a thicker sauce.
