Description

Soft, fluffy, lightly sweet pumpkin dinner rolls—perfect for fall meals, Thanksgiving, or any cozy dinner table.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Extra butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, and egg. Mix well.
  3. Add flour and salt gradually, mixing to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and rise 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide into 12–16 rolls.
  7. Place rolls on a greased baking sheet and rise 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden.
  10. Brush warm rolls with melted butter and serve.

Notes

For extra softness, do not over-flour the dough. Pumpkin moisture can vary—adjust flour slightly as needed.
