Description

A tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned glazed meatloaf with a sweet and tangy topping that turns out perfectly every time.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix gently with your hands until just combined — do not overmix.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to make the glaze.
  6. Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove and spread the remaining glaze on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake another 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  9. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best flavor, use a mix of ground beef and pork. Leftovers make great sandwiches the next day!
