Ingredients

- 3 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil (you may need more)
- 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 cup unsalted beef stock
- 1 ounce packet au jus gravy mix
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Season the steak bites with salt and black pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steak bites in batches until browned on all sides, then transfer to crockpot.
- Add sliced onion and garlic on top of the steak bites.
- Pour in the beef stock and sprinkle the au jus gravy mix evenly.
- Top with the sliced butter.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until steak is tender.
- Stir gently before serving.
