Description

Tender, juicy steak bites slow-cooked in a savory garlic butter sauce—perfectly easy and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil (you may need more)
  • 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup unsalted beef stock
  • 1 ounce packet au jus gravy mix
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Season the steak bites with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the steak bites in batches until browned on all sides, then transfer to crockpot.
  4. Add sliced onion and garlic on top of the steak bites.
  5. Pour in the beef stock and sprinkle the au jus gravy mix evenly.
  6. Top with the sliced butter.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until steak is tender.
  8. Stir gently before serving.

Notes

For best results, don’t skip searing the steak—it enhances the flavor.
