Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Season with paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add chopped cabbage and stir to combine.
  7. Pour in beef broth or water, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  8. Uncover and cook for a few more minutes to allow excess liquid to evaporate.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce during cooking. This dish pairs well with rice or crusty bread.
