Description

A quick and hearty dish featuring savory ground beef, tender pasta, and a flavorful tomato-based sauce—perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground beef
  • 250g pasta (penne or elbow macaroni)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400g canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Grated parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  5. Stir in tomato paste, diced tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  7. Serve warm with grated parmesan if desired.

Notes

You can add chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra veggies. Use whole wheat pasta for a healthier twist.
