- 500g ground beef
- 250g pasta (penne or elbow macaroni)
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g canned diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Grated parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Stir in tomato paste, diced tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Serve warm with grated parmesan if desired.
Notes
You can add chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra veggies. Use whole wheat pasta for a healthier twist.
