Description
A comforting layered casserole made with ground beef, tender potatoes, creamy sauce, and melted cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth.
- Grease a baking dish and layer half the potatoes on the bottom.
- Spread half the beef mixture, then half the soup mixture, and sprinkle with cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Dot with butter on top.
- Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
Let the casserole rest 5–10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
